Who it’s for
The same bank serves a quiet evening and a room full of people. Pick the mode that matches the group in front of you.
Families
One phone, up to six names, no timer. Hand it across the table. Easy questions from the story books work for children.
Church groups
A class, a small group, or a fellowship night. Pass the phone, or split into pairs and share a room code.

Easy questions with a note a teacher can read after the answer: why it is right, and where Scripture says so.

Four real choices
Every question has four authored options: real people, places, and numbers. The right answer does not give itself away by shape.

31 sections, from Genesis to Revelation, and 14 theology topics such as Christology, salvation, and the church. Mix them, or tap All.
A note on every answer
Miss one and the right answer shows immediately. Open the note for why it is right, where Scripture establishes it, and why the tempting option is wrong.
Three ways to play
Solo. Pass and Play for up to six people on one phone. Head to Head between two phones, same questions, same order, a running scoreboard.
A daily practice
Ten questions a day and a streak, plus a verse of the day on the home screen. An optional reminder is a normal iPhone notification, scheduled on the device.

How a round works
Step 1
Choose a mode
Solo, pass and play, or head to head. Pass and play asks for each name. Head to head gives you a six-character code to send.
Step 2
Filter the bank
By book or by topic, then Easy, Medium, Hard, or all. The setup screen shows how many questions match before you start.
Step 3
Answer, then learn it
Tap one of four choices. A right answer turns green and a miss turns red. At the end, review every question with the teaching note open on the ones you missed.

Common questions
Is Bible Trivia free?
Yes. There are no ads, no account, and no subscription. Solo and pass and play run on the iPhone you already have.
Which translation are the questions from?
The English Standard Version. Questions, choices, and verse references follow the ESV. The copyright notice is in the app under Settings and in the footer of this site.
Who is Bible Trivia for?
Individuals, families, church groups, Sunday school classes, and youth groups. Filter a round by book or topic, and set the difficulty to Easy, Medium, Hard, or all of them.
How do groups play?
Pass and Play puts up to six people on one phone and says who to hand it to. Head to Head uses two phones and a six-character room code, with the same questions on both screens.
Does the game need the internet?
Solo and pass and play work offline, including the full question bank. Head to Head needs a connection. About once a day the app may download corrected questions, and that check sends nothing about how you played.
Is there a timer?
Solo and pass and play have no timer. Head to Head gives 25 seconds a question, because the other player is waiting on the same one.
Can I study one book or one topic?
Yes. Setup filters by book, from Genesis through Revelation, or by topic, including Christology, salvation, the church, and others. Difficulty is Easy, Medium, Hard, or all.
Is the app on the App Store yet?
Not yet. A sample round runs in the browser. The iPhone app holds the full bank, and this site will link the listing when it is published.
What if a question looks wrong?
Every question is written by hand, and some need a correction. The app has a report button on an answer, or email support@basedchurchfinder.com with the question text.
Do you track players?
No analytics and no tracking. Scores and streaks stay on the device. A head-to-head room keeps a display name and that round's results for one hour, then deletes them.
Play a round, then take the rest of the bank with you
The browser round is ten questions from the real bank. The iPhone app has all 2,984, plus pass and play and head to head. It is not on the App Store yet. Until that listing exists, the sample round is the way in.
